Biography
Sam Bleiweis joined 7NEWS as a reporter in February 2022.
Sam spent 6 years as a weekday evening anchor and reporter in Columbia, South Carolina. One of her first big reporting assignments was the historic 1,000 year flood in 2015. From the anchor desk and the field, she covered the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections and two presidential visits, a gubernatorial race and many tropical storms and hurricanes.
Sam graduated from Emory University where she played on the Emory Women’s Soccer Team. She graduated in 2014 with degrees in History and Journalism.
Outside the newsroom, Sam is a runner, indoor cycling addict and local library regular. She lives with her husband and their small pack of rescue animals (two dogs and a cat!) in Boston.
