See the Chicago Bulls magician fool Penn and Teller
Magician Vinny Grosso performed on Penn and Teller: Fool Us in hopes of pulling one over on the legendary duo. And Grosso isn’t just some up-and-coming magician; he is a former president of the Society of American Magicians.
For his trick, Grosso stripped down completely naked and taped his eyes shut. He then had Las Vegas comedian Carrot Top choose a single card from a deck of cards and share it with the audience. Grosso then tasted the card three time and declared, I can tell that your card is not only red, not only a diamond, but the king of diamonds.“
Penn and Teller were so baffled by the trick they thought Grosso might be receiving cues of what the card was through the small privacy screen that covered his groin. Penn asked, “Can we look at the screen? There could be some kind of cueing device behind the screen.” To which Grosso joked, “I just want you to know that objects behind this screen appear smaller than they really are.”
Ultimately Penn and Teller admitted that they had no idea how Grosso guessed the right card and the naked magician was given a trophy.
