LOS ANGELES (AP) — In a chorus of opposition, musical artists from several genres have asked a federal appeals court in Los Angeles to overturn a ruling against the composers of the hit song “Blurred Lines.”
A jury concluded that Pharrell Williams, Robin Thicke and T.I infringed on the copy right of Marvin Gayes’ hit “Got to Give it Up.”
Musicians filing the brief, including composer Hans Zimmer and members of various bands, said the case could have an impact on their creativity and the music industry in general.
