BOSTON (WHDH) - Lace up the skates, the Donna Summer Roller Disco Party is returning to City Hall Plaza June 17.

Skaters will jam out to the songs of Donna Summer and members of her extended family will even be on hand, according to the City of Boston.

This is the third year for the party which is free to the public.  Skates are rented out on a first come first serve basis.

“I am pleased that our Donna Summer Roller Disco party has proven a success and we are able to bring it back for the third consecutive year,” said Mayor Marty Walsh.

Summer was born in Boston and topped the charts with songs like “Last Dance” and “On the Radio.”

Summer died in 2012 at the age of 62.
