NEW YORK (NBC) — “Saturday Night Live” returns with all new shows this weekend.

They’ve already given a tease, with Alec Baldwin joining Kate McKinnon for the show’s take on this week’s presidential debate.

Donald Trump hosted the show last season in the early days of the presidential campaign, and Hillary Clinton made an appearance alongside her SNL alter ego as well.

The show, with a decades long tradition of turning politics into punchlines has another chance to put its spin on an election over the next several weeks.

“Both the Clinton campaign and the Trump campaign are definitely going to be watching on Saturday night to see how their candidate’s portrayed. They may not have any say in how
they come off, but they certainly care,” notes Politico’s Shane Goldmacher.

The season premiere is hosted by “Suicide Squad” actress Margot Robbie, with a musical performance by the Weeknd.
