LOS ANGELES (NBC) — Sundance Head walked away on top of the world after Tuesday’s season finale of “The Voice”.

The Houston native with a catchy name and a sound that caught on captured the Season 11 title.

“I can’t even put into words how excited I am. I’m not even sure it’s set in yet,” Head said.

Head’s performances Monday night landed the top two spots on the iTunes chart, with his original song “Darlin’ Don’t Go” hitting number one.

“This is the guy that I think can break the mold and become a star out of this show,” coach Blake Shelton said.

Thanks to his victory, Head gets $100,000 and a recording contract with Universal Records.

The next season of “The Voice” starts on February 27 with Gwen Stefani returning to the coaching ranks, joining Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.
