(NBC) The two night finale of “The Voice” begins tonight. Four singers are vying for the show’s title, and the recording contract that goes with it.
Sundance Head’s name gets attention, but not as much as his country sound.
“I’ve been preparing for this week and this moment for 38 years,” he says.
Head says he’s also focused on more than winning.
“I wanted to stress to my children it’s important to chase your dreams and if you follow through
with your passion, it’s never too late to do it.”
Fellow finalist We McDonald is just 16, but says that shouldn’t define her.
“I don’t focus on how young I am because I feel like I focus more on the fact that I’m the only girl here,” McDonald says.
Days of playing for bar tips could be over for Pennsylvania native Josh Gallagher.
“I feel professional now,” he says. “I feel like I’ve gained such a knowledge of the industry and how things
work.”
Professional success came at age 12 for Billy Gilman, but it didn’t last.
“There were years I thought I was nuts because everyone was saying no,” Gilman recalls.
He’s taken inspiration from last season’s win by former child star Alisan Porter.
“One of the greatest things about America is, they love an underdog and everybody loves a second chance,” he says.
Finale performances happen tonight beginning at 8pm Eastern. The winner will be revealed in a two hour wrap up Tuesday night beginning at 9pm Eastern.
