Authorities say one person is dead and a suspect is in custody after a shooting in the area of a suburban Philadelphia church.
Emergency dispatchers in Montgomery County said the gunfire was reported shortly before 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of the Keystone Fellowship Church, an evangelistic Bible-teaching church, in North Wales.
One person was taken to Abington Lansdale Hospital, and the county coroner’s office said it had been notified that the person had died.
Police said one suspect was in custody. Neither the victim nor suspect has been identified.
Officials haven’t confirmed whether the shooting occurred inside or outside of the church. Keystone Fellowship listed an 11 a.m. Sunday service at that location.
A phone call left at the church’s office wasn’t immediately returned.
