WESTPORT, MASS. (WHDH) - One person is dead after a car crash in Westport.

According to state police, the car left the roadway, on the median side, hit a jersey barrier, then rolled over as it crossed several lanes.

The car landed on its roof in the breakdown lane.

The driver, 25-year-old Cassandra Camacho of New Bedford, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

There were also five passengers in the car, three men who are 19, 26, and 30-years-old, and two women who are 18 and 23-years-old.

All five are of New Bedford and were transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

No word yet on the possible cause of the crash.
