WARWICK, R.I. (AP) — One person was seriously injured in a Rhode Island house fire and three firefighters were hurt when their trucks crashed a short distance away, authorities said.

The fire in Warwick was reported at about 8:30 p.m. Monday.

One person was pulled from the home and taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence with severe burns, authorities said.

Nearly 10 minutes later, the two fire trucks collided. Three firefighters were transported to the hospital with minor injuries and soon released, fire officials said. Authorities said both trucks sustained heavy damage.

No names were released.
