One teacher was fired and another is on administrative leave after allegations of abuse at a daycare in Hingham.
Children were allegedly mistreated at the Bright Horizons Daycare Center on Technology Place. The Department of Children and Families said they were given a report on the allegations and they are now investigating, along with Hingham Police.
Statement from Bright Horizons Daycare Center:
“Our most important responsibility is to ensure that all children are safe, well cared for and treated with respect at all time. As soon as the situation was brought to our attention, we communicated directly with all the families who have children at the center. The teacher involved has been terminated. We are supporting the authorities as they review this situation and we will help them in any way we can.”
The daycare center remains open during the investigation.
