CAPE COD (WHDH) — 10 dolphins were rescued after becoming stranded in a remote part of Sandy Neck Saturday.
According to the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), crews used herding techniques to encourage a group of six dolphins and a group of four dolphins back out to deeper water.
Two dolphins re-stranded in Barnstable Harbor near Millway, and IFAW’s team released them back out to deep water at Scusset Beach after checking their health.
The IFAW said two more dolphins reportedly stranded in Wellfleet, and crews are working on rescuing them.
