A 12-year-old Massachusetts boy caught a great white shark while fishing off the coast of Florida.

Campbell Keenan was boating with his family near For Lauderdale when he made the catch.

“It feels very accomplishing, I mean the biggest fish I ever caught before this was a 25-inch striper,” Keenan said. “This is a 130-inch great white shark.

Keenan reeled in the 450-pound shark with the help of two captains.

“I was so excited for him because he loves fishing so much and this is the best he could ever imagine,” Keenan’s mother Colleen said.

The shark was tagged before letting go. Experts will now study her migration patterns for the next five years.
