BOSTON (AP) — Ready, set, recite: The Boston Poetry Marathon is back.

The annual event began Friday and runs through the weekend at the Community Church of Boston in Copley Square. It gathers poets of all kinds from around the world.

Organizers say each poet gets eight minutes to read their work. More than 125 poets are in this year’s lineup.

Ironically, the 2019 location is steps from the Boston Marathon finish line.
