NEW BEDFORD, MASS. (WHDH) - A 19-year-old woman was shot and killed Sunday night in New Bedford and police are now searching for a suspect.
Neighbors said Sabrina DaSilva was coming home from the supermarket when she was shot in the parking lot of her Bedford Street apartment. Witnesses said they heard several gunshots. DaSilva was taken to the hospital, where she died a short time later.
DaSilva was described as a “very nice” person who was lived with her mother and 2-year-old daughter. She was going to school to become an interpreter.
No arrests have been made.
