Two people were arrested in Rockland for alleged drug trafficking Saturday, according to Rockland police.

Police said officers conducted a search warrant of an apartment on Martha Drive as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

During the search of the apartment, police recovered 22.4 grams of heroin, along with cash, electronics and other drug paraphernalia consistent with drug dealing.

Police arrested 43-year-old Nelson Merced-Santos and 37-year-old Yeira Merced, both of Rockland.

They were charged with drug trafficking and conspiracy to violate the narcotic drug laws.

They were held on bail and will be arraigned in Hingham District Court Monday.
