The Bristol County District Attorney’s office announced the arrest of two men Wednesday in connection with the murder of a man in New Bedford back on New Year’s Eve.
A Bristol County grand jury indicted 23-year-old Aaron Bookman and 24-year-old Angel Acevedo on charges of murder in connection with the killing of Aaron Gant Jr. on December 21, 2015.
Gant was shot on Grinnell Street near the intersection with Pleasant Street in New Bedford.
Gant died at St. Luke’s Hospital after someone drove him to the hospital.
The District Attorney’s office said that the arrest means all nine murders that occurred in New Bedford in 2015 have been solved.
