BARRE, MASS. (WHDH) - Two bulls on the loose in Barre sent one man to the hospital Sunday afternoon.

When Kirsten Grudzinskas saw two bulls trampling her neighbor, she called 911 and started wrangling the bulls with her other neighbors.

“He was on the ground, the bulls started attacking him, so I started beating them up,” Grudzinskas said.

The bulls were eventually captured.

Animal Control said the two bulls got loose from someone’s farm, and ended up in the man’s backyard.

The man was taken to the hospital, and was released. He declined to comment on the incident.

The bulls were returned to their owners Monday afternoon, and it is unknown how they got loose.
