HYDE PARK, Mass. (WHDH) — Boston firefighters battled a large fire in a two-family home in Hyde Park.

Firefighters said they were called to the house on Austin Street at 10:07 a.m. The fire sparked in the rear of the house.

Officials said a woman watching her 15-month-old granddaughter smelled smoke and rushed to get the girl out of the house.

“My mom just called me frantically, saying there’s a fire, I just told her to get her and my daughter out of the house immediately and when I rushed out I just saw the smoke from a mile away, and I just freaked out,” said Natasha Oliveira.

Two adults and four children were displaced by the fire. No injuries have been reported.

The fire is not believed to be suspicious.
