ALLSTON, MASS. (WHDH) - Two men helped a Boston Police officer in trouble when a homeless man started to attack him.
“I grabbed his arm and flipped it behind his back,” said Frank Borghette, one of the men that stepped in.
Borghetted helped take down a man who he said was attacking a Boston Police Officer.
The incident happened on Tuesday night at the Boston Skating Club in Allston.
Police say an officer was called to the skating club for a report of a homeless man drinking and urinating in plain view of families.
When the officer arrived, he approached Patrick Lowry, 45, and that is when witnesses say trouble broke out.
“He tried to throw a glass bottle at him and he threatened him saying I’m gonna kill you,” said Shabin Shakhawath, the other man that stepped in.
Police say Lowry knocked the officer to the ground and caused him to hit his head on the pavement, and then they say Lowry tried to grab the officer’s gun.
The two Good Samaritans, one just 16 years old, stepped in and pinned Lowry down.
When other police arrived, Lowry was cuffed and the hurt officer was taken to the hospital.
