Two teenagers are in custody after their involvement in two armed robberies in East Boston Thursday.

According to police, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery on Brooks Street in East Boston around 9:00 p.m.

When officers arrived, the victim told them he had just been robbed by three men. The victim said one of the men held an object wrapped in a piece of clothing to the victim’s ribs, and he believed it was some sort of weapon.

The three suspects took the victim’s gym bag which contained personal items, and then fled on foot.

Officers responded to another call for an attempted armed robbery around 10:30 p.m. on Lubec and Grove Streets. Police said the description of the suspects matched the description from the first incident.

Police found two of the suspects, 18-year-old Gerard Divenuti and a 16-year-old male. Both suspects were placed in custody.

The third suspect has not been found, and no weapons have been recovered.
