BOSTON (WHDH) - Garden Neighborhood Charities held its 21st annual “Table of Friends” Thanksgiving dinner at TD Garden Monday.

Volunteers from around the city and state served Boston’s largest Thanksgiving dinner to guests from homeless shelters. Among those who helped serve dinner were Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, , Boston Police Commissioner William Evans, Boston Bruins President Cam Neely and General Manager Don Sweeney and other members of Boston’s police and fire departments.

More than 1,000 pounds of turkey was served at the dinner. The event focuses on immediate and long-term support for Boston’s homeless community.
