WINCHESTER, Conn. (AP) — Authorities say a 29-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Winchester.

Police say they responded to the crash late Friday and found 29-year-old Charles Godshall of Winsted lying unconscious on the road next to a telephone pole.

Police say they believe he was driving north on East Wakefield Boulevard when he lost control of his bike and struck the pole.

First responders performed CPR for 20 minutes before the man was pronounced dead. Police say Godshall was wearing a helmet.

The crash remains under investigation.
