EPPING, N.H. (WHDH) — Three men were arrested in connection with an armed home break-in in Epping, New Hampshire Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened off of Route 27. Dylan Czubaruk said two men walked into his house looking for money. Czubaruk said the men hit him over the head with the butt of a gun and he ran out of the house where an officer happened to be driving.
“They came in, pointed the gun at me, and then I reached for my firearm, and then they strongheld me, and took it. They were two big gentlemen, and then they hit me in the head with a gun because I wouldn’t cooperate and then they held me in a chokehold and then I broke free and ran outside,” said Czubaruk.
The officer arrested those two men. Police then searched for a third man who allegedly ran away with a 9mm gun and said it was a dog that helped lead them to the suspect.
Nina Barbosa let her 9-year-old dog, Lucky, into the yard and said the beagle ran right for a shed.
“She was just barking and running back and forth and just acting weird,” said Barbosa. Police said the suspect who got away, Raul Natareno, was hiding behind the shed.
At one point, schools in the area were also locked down. Officers also asked neighbors to stay inside.
Police believe the home was targeted and this was not a random incident.
