3 Cape beaches closed to swimming due to shark sightings

TRURO, MASS. (WHDH) - Three beaches on Cape Cod are closed because sharks were spotted nearby.

Officials received reports of as many as six Great White Sharks in the Truro area, seen feasting on a whale carcass. The dead whale has since washed up on the shore in North Truro.

The sharks were spotted just 4 miles from the shore of Pamet Harbor.

The following beach have been closed to swimming: Noon’s Landing, Beach Point and Cold Storage. The beaches could remain closed until Sunday.
