3 injured in Falmouth car crash, driver cited

Three people were taken to the hospital after a car slammed into a tree in Falmouth Monday night.

The crash happened on Blacksmith Shop Road. Police said the Jaws of Life had to be used to rescue two of the victims, who were trapped inside the car.

Police said all four people in the car were in their late teens and early 20s. Three were taken to Falmouth Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the 18-year-old woman who was driving was speeding and driving recklessly and was cited. Marijuana was also allegedly found inside the car.
