PHOENIX, Ariz. (WHDH) — Three people were rescued after the roller coaster they were riding broke down, leaving them trapped in the air.

“As soon as it went over the loop, it stopped. It just completely stopped,” said Luis Berrelleza, one of three people who got stuck on the Desert Storm roller coaster.

The incident happened at the Castles n Coasters theme park in Phoenix, Arizona. Rescue crews helped the three riders over the coaster’s seats and then onto a ladder that brought them down to safety.

The whole rescue lasted about 30 minutes. No injuries were reported.
