MARTHA’S VINEYARD, Mass. (WHDH) — The Coast Guard rushed to the rescue Sunday morning, rescuing six people from a boat off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard.

Officials said the boat started taking on water just before 9 a.m. A boat and helicopter were sent out to help rescue the six people on board.

The Coast Guard pumped water out of the boat and towed it to the shore. Officials said a crack in the hull caused the flooding.

No injuries were reported.
