Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of a 7-year-old girl and treating it as an apparent homicide.

Gabby Doolin was attending a peewee football jamboree in Scottsville Saturday when she became separated from her parents in the crowd.

The parents Brian and Amy Doolin immediately asked the announcer to call Gabby’s name.

25 minutes later, Gabby was found dead by a creek nearby.

No arrests have been made in the case.

500 people gathered for a candlelight vigil Sunday including Gabby’s parents.

Brian Doolin could barely speak, but said this about his daughter: "I’d love to hold just one more time, just hold her tight."
