The fight is on…warm air from Monday trying to return to New England. It has had much success south of metro Boston and especially out on Cape Cod with temps already into the 50s! For the rest of us we start the day in the 30s. Good ol fashioned meteorological Brouhaha today.
The result in this clash of seasons has been clouds and showers for much of the night (even a burst of some snow last evening). Most of the showers have moved out but clouds & pockets of drizzle linger across the region with another batch of showers ready to take aim on New England. The day does feature the risk of showers/drizzle at any time but at no time is there widespread heavy rain going to happen. As for those temps, where it’s warm now it will be warm for the day #South and where it’s chilly now the temps will crawl into the upper 40s by this afternoon.
This battle of air settles down tonight as High Pressure–like a parent telling the kids to separate—moves in and clears things out. We are back to the sunshine for tomorrow & the start of Friday thanks to this High Pressure. Despite the sun, it’s seasonably chilly with daytime highs in the upper 30s.
Sidebar…..Today through December 14th will be our earliest sunsets (4:12pm) and then we start picking up evening daylight!
