While we’ve had a few glimpses of Spring over the last few weeks, it’s been tough to sustain any mild weather around here, and this past week certainly showed that as many days had temps stuck in the 30s and 40s.  We’ll change that up this weekend, and this go around, it looks like the milder weather can hold on.

Temps this afternoon rise into the upper 50s on average but some of that milder feel to the air is masked by the strong breeze.  Winds gust near 30mph out of the west to northwest, but at least we’ll be dry with a mix of sun and clouds.  As high pressure settles in tonight, the breeze slackens a bit and temps fall into the 30s.  Despite the cool start tomorrow, “it’s a bute, Clark”, as sunshine and light winds combine with highs in the mid to upper 60s!  The light west winds this time of year can be a catch 22 along the coast as it’s easier for the sea breeze to kick and knock temps from the 60s, back into the 50s.  We’ll see that across Buzzards Bay/Cape/Islands/Cape Ann, and perhaps the immediate coast including Boston by tomorrow afternoon.  Just a heads up if you’re coming into the city or toward the coast from MetroWest tomorrow, you may want to keep the light jacket handy.

The breeze picks back Monday, this time out of the south.  It’s a warmer wind direction for a lot of us, and that’ll allow temps to near 70 from Boston, points north and west.  South Shore runs in the 60s and Buzzards Bay/Cape/Islands will be in the 50s.  Heading to Fenway?  Those April tickets often come with cool, raw, ocean air, but not this go around as early afternoon temps near 70 and hold in the 60s for the game.

The next chance for rain runs in here overnight Monday/Tuesday morning, then back to dry weather and lower 60s Tuesday afternoon through Thursday.

Enjoy the weekend!
