It was an April morning when they told us we should go
As I turned to you, you smiled at me
How could we say no?
Opening verse to Led Zeppelin’s Achilles Last Stand. Rather fitting to hear this on the way into work this morning. Perhaps Spotify knows our weather setup later today and tonight. After sneaking out some early sunshine this morning clouds will take over once again as another wave of rain moves in this afternoon. Unlike yesterday, the air upstairs (around 3-5 thousand feet) is colder so that rain will mix and change over to some snow & sleet. the areas most likely to see this changeover will be along & north of Rt.2 and up into New Hampshire. metro Boston & south it’s just some rain drops with an occasional sleet pellet.
This evening we will see some rain showers that will mix with some snow & sleet along the MA/NH border. This is not a big deal as we are in April and typically only a nor’easter can result in heavy, plowable snows. Across southern New Hampshire a coating-2″ may occur on surfaces that are not labeled main roads/city streets. No travel issues expected tomorrow morning.
Clouds are with us yet again tomorrow as is cool, raw air with temps stuck in the low 40s but as we work into Friday a warm front finally makes some inroads into New England. This is good. Temps will soar into the 50s by Friday afternoon and even warmer weather is expected by the end of the upcoming weekend while holding onto a fair amount of sunshine. Much of next week looks mild as well.
Dancing Days are (almost) here again….
