Mark Wahlberg and his "Patriots Day" crew chose the actor who will take on the role of Mayor Tom Menino.
Actor Vincent Curatola will play the role in the film about the Boston Marathon bombings.
Mayor Menino was serving his 20th year in office when the attack happened.
The studio has also chosen the man who will play Commissioner William Evans – actor James Colby.
Colby is also a local, who grew up in Arlington.
The movie makers start filming next week.
