NEW YORK (WHDH) - Millions of people are traveling this holiday weekend and at airports, security has been increased in the wake of recent attacks.
“The American public should expect to see this July 4 weekend an enhanced security presenceat airports, train stations and other transit centers across the country,” said Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson.
There is no suggestion of an imminent attack and intelligence reports do not indicate a specific threat. But in the wake of the attacks in Orlando and Istanbul, security officials said they are not taking any chances.
