Timehop and TBT yesterday probably brought you flashbacks to all the snow and cold of last year.  While those pics of blizzard conditions and deep snow may have sent shivers down your spine, can I suggest taking a look at the current 7 day forecast?  Sure, we still have plenty of winter ahead and chances for cold and snow, but those chances don’t arrive over the next 7 days.  Enjoy the weekend, and enjoy the mild weather ahead!

While last last we could miss a storm, this year, we’ve yet to bear the full brunt of one.  Yes, last week 6-12" of snow fell from Boston, south, but the bulk of the 30" snowstorm hammered NYC to DC.  Yet again today, we miss the bulk of a storm.  This morning, New England sits between two systems. An ocean storm to our east and a cold front to our west.  While we thread the needle between the two and don’t get much rain/snow, we’ll still occasionally see a rain or snow showers passing through.  I don’t expect much from the rain and snow showers as temps moderate above freezing today into the mid 30s to lower 40s. North and west of Boston, it there’s a burst of heavy enough precip, a slushy coating is possible for a few towns. A few locations to watch for that would be northeast Mass into Southern Maine, and also out into the Worcester Hills.

The weekend looks good! Near 40 Saturday, near 50 Sunday.

More 50s are in store next week with the best chance of downpours rolling in Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night.
