NEEDHAM, MASS. (WHDH) - An Olympic champion from Massachusetts is one step closer to Rio de Janeiro.

Needham native Aly Raisman finished second in the US Gymnastics Championship.

Raisman performed at the top of her game Friday and Sunday to get the silver medal in the all-around.

The five-woman Olympic team will be selected in two weeks.

If she is picked, this will be her second Olympics.

She was part of the “Fierce Five” in the 2012 London Olympics, where she won team gold and individual gold medals.
