BOSTON (WHDH) - An American Airlines flight from Logan Airport to Miami was diverted to New York Sunday night due to a mechanical issue.
Passengers reported that part of the plane was on fire and that there was smoke inside the plane.
They had to swap planes at JFK.
That plane landed safely in Miami.
