The Middlesex District Attorney confirmed that an apparent murder-suicide is under investigation in Waltham.
Police said they responded to a well-being check at a residence on Forest Street at around 5 p.m. Responding officers said two people at the residence were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide.
The names of the two deceased residents will not be released at this time. Police said this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
