An Apple AirTag helped firefighters rescue a dog after he was swept away by floodwaters in San Bernardino County.

Crews jumped into action when they received a frantic 911 call about a lost dog.

A woman says she was walking with her dog, Seamus, when suddenly he sprinted into a storm drain, rough waters sweeping him away.

Firefighters looking for Seamus said they were flagged down by someone who had seen the dog floating away. The Good Samaritan followed the dog as he drifted almost a mile down the river.

An Apple AirTag on the dog’s collar helped crews find exactly where he was, which was curled up in a drain pipe.

Seamus was not injured and has since been reunited with his owner.
