Some real mid winter cold here in mid November. Early morning temps were down into the low 20s (Boston’s coldest morning since March 21st) and a feisty wind made it feel close to zero out in the Worcester Hills. Amazing cold..something we haven’t seen in mid November (as a nation) since 1976!

Today is a cold day no doubt about that as wind chills will be in the teens this morning and in the 20s this afternoon. The actual temps will stay below freezing much of the day only briefly reaching the low-mid 30s by afternoon. As we reach the afternoon hours that wind will fade a bit but we’ll also lose the sun to some clouds.

Those clouds are tied to a warm front that tries to warm us for Thursday but it’s all relative as tomorrow’s temps reach the mid 40s (normal is 50). Compared to today it will feel better to be outside. It’s short-lived though as more arctic air pours into New England on Friday & again on Saturday. Temps those days are only in the 30s for daytime highs. By Sunday the cold pattern snaps and much warmer air begins to filter into New England with high temps near 50 and we’re well into the 50s for early next week!

Enjoy your Huuump Daaayyy.
