DORCHESTER, Mass. (WHDH) — The Arredondo Family Foundation opened its new headquarters Tuesday in Dorchester.

The foundation was started by Carlos Arredondo, the man at the Boston Marathon finish line who rushed to help people after the bombing in 2013.

Arredondo’s foundation works to prevent suicide in veterans and provide support to military families. Arredondo himself belongs to a gold star family, having lost a son in the Iraq War and another son to suicide.

The foundation’s new headquarters is located at 25 Beach St.
