BOSTON (WHDH) - Mayor Walsh announced additional changes to the plans for City Hall Plaza, a plan that is expected to include a skating path and holiday shopping market.

Walsh announced that Berkshire Bank will be the official sponsor, and that “Boston Winter presented by Berkshire Bank” is scheduled to open in early December.

In addition to a winding skating path and shopping market, the plaza will have winter activities and attractions including Santa’s House and a “holiday tree.”

The skating path is expected to be nearly 11,000 square feet and will remain open through February. The rink will have learn-to-skate programs as well.

The holiday shopping market is expected to be 60 percent local vendors.
