School officials in Auburn placed the high school in lockdown in response to a threat made against the school.
According to a press release sent out by the school’s superintendent, officials were told about a threat to the school at 8 a.m.
Per the school’s protocols, the school was placed in a “soft lock down.”
Auburn Police arrested a student soon after. That student, who is still in custody, has yet to be identified.
The nature of the threat made on social media has not been specified.
Police will establish a presence at the school for the remainder of the school day Thursday.
