PITTSFIELD, N.H. (WHDH) - Authorities are investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting that occurred in Pittsfield, New Hampshire on Monday.
Officers were called to a domestic disturbance at 40 A Lyford Hill Road and upon arrival found Anthony Hannon, 52, armed and refusing to leave the residence, Attorney General John M. Formella.
The 10-hour standoff ended when gunfire was exchanged between Hannon and the officers and Hannon was eventually shot and killed.
No officers or other people were injured during the altercation, according to Formella.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday morning to determine Mr. Hannon’s cause and manner of death.
The name of the officer involved in the shooting is being withheld pending the conclusion of a formal interview.
No further details have been released.
