(WHDH) — A new study has found that the American family can afford a bigger helping of turkey this year.

According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, a classic Thanksgiving dinner will cost about $50 for 10 people – or around $5 per person.

The average cost of a 16-pound turkey has dropped about $23, and pumpkin pie mix has dropped as well, to about $3.

Some Thanksgiving classics have gone up in price, such as stuffing – which is up to $2.67 per bag.

Cranberries also went up to $2.39 for 12 ounces, and sweet potatoes are also up a bit at $3.60 for 3 pounds.
