The Massachusetts Environmental Police posted an adorable photo of a baby deer they saved from the side of the road.

In the Facebook post, officers on their way to New Bedford said they noticed a fawn trying to nurse from its deceased mother, which had died after being struck by a car.

The officers enlisted the help of the Massachusetts Division of Fish and Wildlife to capture the fawn.

Police said that MassWildlife stayed on the scene and found a second fawn.

Both animals are being transported to a wildlife rehabilitation clinic.
