A baby born in Hawaii has tested positive for the mosquito-born Zika virus and has reportedly suffered brain damage.

Health officials said there’s no risk of getting the virus in the island state.

The CDC said the mother was likely infected while she was in Brazil last spring.

The virus is circulating in Central and South America and is a risk to pregnant mothers.
