Setback for the cold today. Highs in the upper 40s – and even a few 50 degree readings in Provincetown and Chatham. I know, you’re really crying about it too.
Well, for the cold weather lovers, we have more cold on the way – but it’s just for a day. The pattern is much milder in the long run, and the next storm is chocked full of water – all the way into Southern Ontario and Quebec.
In the meantime (Spacehog, 1995) the weather remains quiet..and cold. Even with sunny skies, the numbers tomorrow will only best freezing by a few degrees. With a gusty wind, the wind chills will stay in the 20s all day. And that’s precisely what you should be dressing for.
Slowly but steadily, the temperatures will climb out of the hole after tomorrow – nearly 10 degrees per day! I’m bullish on the 50s by Sunday and 60s on Monday – even with clouds and eventual rain. Speaking of, this could be another significant dose of water, adding to the recent surplus of rain this month.
The big conundrum of the coming week? A possible storm brewing around Thanksgiving. On or off? Snow or rain? Easy, there folks. Still to be determined, but I have an idea that we may see a possible changeover to snow Wednesday as the storm exits offshore. Another possibility is that the storm forms offshore and stays offshore. Either way the threat matrix looks low at this point.
Carry on.
