September Friday, October yesterday, and back to November today.  Overall, the pattern ahead looks a lot closer to the averages compared to what we’ve seen over the first week of the month.

With temps in the lower to mid 50s today, we’ll be right on top of the average high for this time of year (54 in Boston), which will be the coolest day since Halloween.  We’ll also have plenty of sunshine, which will help offset the breeze and cooler air in place.  It’s still great tailgating weather if you’re heading down to Gillette!  Kickoff temps run around 53 degrees under a mostly sunny sky. Go Pats!!!!!!!

Monday looks great too, temps a bit above the average, near 60 with mostly sunny skies and light winds thanks to high pressure passing over us.

As that area of high pressure, that protects us the next 2 days from rain, slides off to the east, an area of low pressure will then work up the eastern seaboard. That means we’ll likely see a widespread chance of rain by Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday night is wet and we’ll even linger showers into Wednesday morning. In addition the breeze will pick up out of the southeast late Tuesday, then switch too and increase out of the northeast early Wednesday morning, especially over Southeast Mass.  While the exact rain amounts depend on the track of the low, it appears that 0.50-1.00" is in the cards.

We catch a break late Wednesday into Thursday morning before another batch of showers works in Thursday afternoon/night.  Behind that front that’ll bring us those showers, seasonable and breezy weather prevails with some sun Friday.  Dry weather lingers into next weekend, although it’ll be on the cooler side, with highs struggling to climb out of the upper 40s.

Enjoy your Sunday!
