BOSTON (AP) — Gov. Charlie Baker plans to reveal his choice to be Massachusetts’ top casino regulator amid an ongoing probe of Wynn Resorts.

Baker scheduled a news conference Tuesday to announce who will be the next chair of the state gambling commission, succeeding Stephen Crosby who resigned in September. Crosby said at the time he was stepping down over concerns of bias in the Wynn inquiry — charges he denied.

Massachusetts is investigating how Wynn Resorts handled allegations of sexual misconduct against the company’s founder, Steve Wynn. The outcome could determine if the company retains its license to operate a casino slated to open just outside Boston this year.

The commission is also expected to release Tuesday the latest revenue figures for MGM Springfield, the state’s first resort casino that opened last summer.
